Why Choose Facial Aesthetic Concepts?
At Facial Aesthetic Concepts, our goal is to do everything we can to achieve your goals. When it comes to hair restoration, we offer NeoGraft along with a variety of different treatment options to address your individual concerns to deliver superior results with very little downtime.
Because we strive to achieve the best results possible for our clients, we can combine our hair restoration surgery with non-surgical hair loss solutions such as Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapies and hyperbaric oxygen treatment (HBO). These additional therapies help to enhance the follicular ‘take’ rate and reduce the hair fall out that can occur following treatment. This also helps to stimulate dormant follicles and promote natural hair growth.

Nasal SurgeriesAutomated Hair Transplantation
Hair restoration surgery involves the removal of donor hair from the back of the scalp. In older methods, this donor hair was typically acquired by the use of strip grafting, but this technique often leaves visible scarring and has a longer recovery time.
Through the use of the NeoGraft automated hair transplantation system, our hair loss treatment professionals are able to carefully remove individual hair follicles from the scalp. This means:
- Treatment and recovery are more comfortable
- Minimal scarring occurs in the donor area
- Shorter hairstyles are possible on the back of the head without others being able to notice any evidence of surgery
NeoGraft is an option to treat both male and female hair loss resulting from genetic, systemic or other factors. Ideal candidates for this procedure will have minimal, stabilized hair loss with sufficient donor hair for transplant. The greater the hair density and fullness of the hair on the back of the scalp, the easier it is to achieve fuller transplant results.
The NeoGraft procedure requires minimal downtime. Many patients are able to return to work and their normal routines the following day.

The Technology at Work
NeoGraft is one of the first automated FUE systems for hair restoration. Automation allows us to avoid the inefficiencies of older manual extraction and implant methods while providing more consistent clinical results. The NeoGraft device is designed to keep extracted hairs healthy during the extraction and implantation process, helping to achieve more effective and higher quality hair restoration in the target area. The use of a specialized handpiece also helps us deliver more standardized implants.
Candidates for NeoGraft Hair Restoration
NeoGraft is a great and easy solution for patients who have experienced moderate hair loss and wish to re-attain a more youthful hairline. Although NeoGraft is a minimally invasive treatment, ideal patients should be non-smokers who are in good overall health. Their hairline should not be actively receding, and there must be sufficient donor hair at the back of the scalp to transfer.
Patients with more severe hair loss may be better candidates for a strip surgery. During a consultation, Dr. Brandon can analyze your hair loss and determine if NeoGraft is a good procedure to meet your aesthetic goals.
What to Expect
NeoGraft treatments are more comfortable and quicker than older “strip” methods of hair replacement. Only a small amount of local anesthetic is needed, and you’re able to watch a show, read, or chat with your treatment provider while the procedure takes place.
Procedures typically take a few hours and are scheduled so that you have plenty of time to arrive for your appointment, go through the prep process, have treatment, and head back home the same day. If it sounds pretty simple on your side – it is. The advanced NeoGraft treatment system allows us to provide excellent results with minimal disruption and discomfort.
Your surgeon begins by numbing the donor area at the back of your scalp and carefully harvesting follicles. These follicles are sorted and prepared for transfer. In the meantime, your surgeon numbs the front of your scalp, making a series of tiny incisions that can receive the donor follicles. The hair is then implanted in these incisions a single follicle at a time. They are placed at a slight angle to better match the appearance of the frontal hairline.
Hair Restoration FAQs
How soon until I see results?
While hair follicles from the donor site will be immediately placed where your hair loss is occuring, all of these hairs will naturally shed within a week or two, but will begin to regrow around four to six months after the procedure. Patience is essential. Within 12 to 18 months, most of our patients are enjoying a dramatically thicker head of hair.
Will it look like I had hair “plugs”?
No. Unlike older methods, NeoGraft can transplant one follicle at a time to create a very natural looking result.
What’s recovery like?
The recovery period is short and comfortable. You won’t have any bandages. After a night of rest, you can wash your hair and engage in all your usual daily activities. Most of our patients take a day or two off work, depending on the job. For more strenuous activity, we recommend taking it easy for about a week.
How many treatments will I need?
This depends on your current state of hair loss and how much hair restoration you are hoping to achieve. Smaller bald patches require only one or two sessions. Restoring hair to a large area of the top of the scalp will take longer.
Do I need to take medication after having NeoGraft?
Many patients are prescribed an oral medication like minoxidil (Rogaine) or finasteride (Propecia) that can help prevent further hair loss and better maintain your results from NeoGraft.
Is NeoGraft permanent?
Most patients can enjoy their NeoGraft results throughout their life. Because the follicles are harvested from the back of the head where hair loss is unlikely, these reimplanted follicles tend to last indefinitely.
How is NeoGraft different from strip surgery?
Most hair transplant surgeries fit into two categories: follicular unit extraction (FUE) and follicular unit transplantation (FUT). NeoGraft is a FUE surgery because it involves harvesting follicles one at a time. Strip surgery, or FUT, takes a long, thin strip of tissue from the back of the scalp that can be reimplanted in smaller clumps (up to four hairs) to the front of the head. FUT is a more invasive surgery, which is why many patients prefer the FUE approach unless they have a lot of hair they are trying to restore.
Does NeoGraft hurt?
Fortunately, with help from local anesthesia, you can remain comfortable throughout your surgery — not to mention alert enough that you can read or watch TV. After your treatment, you may experience some discomfort, though nothing that should rise to the level of “pain,” but that can be easily managed with pain medication. This discomfort should fade within a few days as the swelling subsides.
Are women good candidates for NeoGraft?
Hair loss is often thought of as a problem for men, but nearly 50% of women also experience some amount of hair loss in their lifetimes. Common causes of hair loss for women include genetics, aging, and hormone fluctuation (menopause and pregnancy). Like men, women who have female pattern baldness (androgenetic alopecia) or thinning hair can improve their hairline with NeoGraft. It helps to choose a doctor who has experience treating women to ensure the hairline looks natural and feminine.
