Dr. Richard Gangnes founded Facial Aesthetic Concepts (FAC) 42 years ago, and since that time, he and his staff have had the pleasure of serving the cosmetic needs of Orange County residents. FAC has thrived thanks to the continued trust and patronage of the local community. We don’t take this support for granted, and to show our appreciation, we love to give back to the community in kind. We donate to several organizations in Orange County throughout the year that we’d like to highlight:
Partners for Pediatric Vision: This non-profit organization emphasizes educating and supporting families who have children with some form of vision impairment. Because so much of what the average child learns in the first decade of life involves the eyes, it is important to provide solutions and alternatives to kids with vision impairment so that they don’t get left behind. Partners and Pediatric Vision provides services and resources at no cost to families with children under the age of 18.
Stoneybrooke Christian School: Stoneybrooke is a private religious school that serves local Evangelist families in San Juan Capistrano, CA. The staff partners with parents to promote a biblical worldview and philosophy of education. The institution’s aim is to combine traditional values with technology to build tomorrow’s leaders. Classes are available to elementary and junior high students, as well as 3 and 4-year-olds in early education.
MAKO Foundation: MAKO stands for Maximizing Academics, Knowledge and Opportunity to provide a comprehensive, modern education to every elementary and middle school student in Vista del Mar, CA. In the past five years, MAKO Foundation has provided nearly a million dollars to local schools to fund buying each student a Chromebook, field trips, assemblies, classroom grants, supplemental teacher training, the arts, counseling services and a robotics program.
Women of Chapman: Recently celebrating 50 years, Women of Chapman (WOC) is a group of philanthropic women who want to support Chapman University with strategic giving. Since its inception, WOC has gifted nearly $9 million to the college. WOC is actively supporting the Keck Center of Science and Engineering and the Harry and Diane Rinker Health Science Campus in Irvine with ongoing donations. It has also financially backed the Provost’s Arts and Lecture Series as well as the Women of Chapman Distinguished Artist Series.
Santa Margarita Catholic High School Mothers Club: This is a social group for women who are mothers of current and alumni students at Santa Margarita Catholic High School. They put an emphasis on having fun rather than fundraising. The goal is to welcome incoming mothers of SMCHS students to the larger community. Their standout event each year is the fashion show that takes place on campus each May.
St. Junipero Serra Catholic School: This is a private religious school that teaches elementary and middle school students in South Orange County. Recently, FAC hosted a fundraiser for this school at our Rancho Santa Margarita location. At this event, Nikki, our Managing Medical Esthetician, gave a presentation to students about skincare best practices for teens. We also raffled off prizes for the attendees. Below are photos from this successful event:
We are committed to continuing to collaborate and financially support our local community organizations!
