Best Candidates for Breast Augmentation
The best candidates for breast augmentation surgery are women who are looking for a solution to breasts that make them feel uncomfortable or unhappy with their appearance. Women who have had considerable weight loss, who have had children, who have noticed changes to their breasts due to age, or who never developed the way they would have liked to often make ideal candidates for breast implants. Breast implants can also help address uneven or asymmetrical breasts.
A breast augmentation can allow women to achieve greater breast size, better shape, increased fullness, and a more balanced figure. To address sagging breasts, a combination breast augmentation with breast lift surgery is an excellent choice for women who would like to see an increase in breast volume as well as to restore their breasts to a more youthful position.
You may be a good candidate for breast augmentation surgery if you’re a healthy woman who is maintaining a stable weight and would like to see a change in the size and shape of your breasts. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding are not good candidates for this procedure.

During your consultation, Dr. Zamani will examine your breasts to determine if an augmentation is right for you. She will assess your breast size and shape, the quality of your skin, and the placement of your nipples and areolas to determine the best course of action to help you achieve your desired results. Your consultation is the time to discuss the outcome you’re hoping to achieve and what you can expect from your final results. You may find it helpful to bring examples of your ideal look to show Dr. Zamani.
Your options for breast implants will also be discussed, including the type of implant, size, and placement. You will determine whether saline or silicone implants will garner the best results for you. Most women will also be required to have a mammogram screening done prior to surgery as a precaution.
During surgery, Dr. Zamani will make inconspicuous incisions to minimize visible scarring. Your incisions will depend on the type of implant you’ve chosen, the degree of your enlargement, and your individual anatomy. Once the incision is made, your breast implants will be inserted either under the pectoral muscle, in the case of a submuscular implant, or directly behind the breast tissue and over the muscle for a submammary implant.
Types of Breast Implants
Saline implants are filled with sterile salt water. They can be filled after being placed in the breast, which allows for smaller incisions. They pose no health risks if they accidentally rupture.
Silicone implants are filled with a gel-like substance that more closely resembles and feels like real breast tissue. They can be round or teardrop shaped (form stable implants), the latter mimicking the slope of a youthful breast.
Breast Augmentation Recovery & Results
Breast augmentation surgery typically takes 1 to 2 hours. While the difference can be seen immediately, it can take several months for swelling to subside and your implants to settle before your final results become visible. Healing time varies, and Dr. Zamani will walk you through your exact recovery plan and reasonable expectations for your outcome.

Breast Augmentation Testimonials
Dr. Zamani is extremely professional, caring, and all-around fabulous. She did my breast augmentation, and I truly couldn’t have had a better experience. She and her team made me feel so comfortable through the whole process. I had a very smooth recovery, and I couldn’t be happier with the results!
I had thought about having elective surgery for almost a decade and I could not have picked a better surgeon! Dr. Zamani, thank you so much for everything, I am beyond pleased with my breast augmentation results and look forward to singing your praise to anyone who mentions that they are looking for a plastic surgeon.
Dr. Zamani answered all my questions and was not satisfied until I was satisfied. She sensed my hesitation about the size of my implants, so she saw again so I could repeat the process of trying on sizers, allowing me to take my time to arrive at my own decision. I am super pleased with my results and would recommend her to my friends.
Breast Augmentation FAQs
How much does breast augmentation cost?
You cannot find out the exact cost of your surgery through an internet search as rates vary based on the specifics of your surgery, the doctor you choose and even the area you live in. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the average cost of breast augmentation in the U.S. is roughly $4,000. However, this price is not inclusive of all elements related to the surgery. Everything from anesthesia to facility fees will increase the total.

How do I find the best plastic surgeon for breast augmentation near me?
Breast augmentation is one of the most common plastic surgery procedures in the United States. As a result, you will likely find numerous breast augmentation providers near you. Your goal should be to find the one that feels like the best fit. Look at their breast augmentation before and after photos to see if the results fall in line with your vision.
Also, make sure the doctor seems excited about helping you. When surgeons are passionate about their work, they produce better results. Finally, think about how comfortable you feel when talking to them. A good relationship is important when it comes to plastic surgery.
How much pain will I experience after my breast augmentation?
It is normal to experience some discomfort after any surgery, including breast augmentation. Anticipate that the entire chest area will be tender for several days after the procedure. Some clients report a burning sensation in the nipples as well as sharp, shooting pains, all of which go away within a week or two for most individuals. We will prescribe medications to help you manage any discomfort you may have.
What should I expect from breast augmentation recovery?
How long the recovery period lasts will depend on the type of implant and methods used during surgery, as well as your own natural healing speed. A week after surgery, most individuals can return to light activity and go back to work if it is not physically demanding. The swelling and bruising should mostly be gone around 6 weeks, at which point most clients are able to resume all normal activities without restrictions.
What are the risks associated with breast augmentation?
Breast augmentation is a relatively safe procedure, but as is the case with anything surgical, there are risks. Clients and their care providers should watch for signs of infection, adverse reactions and excessive bleeding, as these are the most common complications to encounter.
How do I know if I am a breast augmentation candidate?
To find out if you are suited to breast augmentation, you need to schedule a consultation. At that time, your surgeon will be able to evaluate your overall health as well as the specifics related to the surgery. You may also discuss other procedures that interest you as they might be able to be done at the same time.
How can I prepare for my breast augmentation?
There is a list of items we ask clients to do to prepare for surgery. These include stopping smoking, eating well, avoiding medications that thin the blood and not eating for 8 hours prior to surgery. However, this is not an extensive list. We will explain in depth what you need to do when your surgery is scheduled.
Will breast augmentation lift sagging breasts?
Breast augmentation’s focus is on enhancing the breasts with extra volume. If your breasts have begun to sag (a common occurrence with age, after pregnancy, and after losing weight), breast augmentation will not help to raise your breasts. To elevate your breasts, you will need to combine breast augmentation with breast lift. This is a great solution for improving the overall presentation of the breasts.
How long do breast augmentation results last?
Usually, breast implants can safely remain in your body for one or two decades before removal and replacement (or just removal if you prefer) is appropriate. When you choose an expert breast specialist like Dr. Zamani, appealing results can last a long time. To enjoy your results for as long as possible, our experts encourage you to maintain your weight and wear sunscreen on your chest when your skin is exposed to the sun.
Should I have breast augmentation if I want to have children later?
Be sure to discuss your thoughts about starting a family during your consultation. Dr. Zamani can use specific techniques that place your implants without disrupting your milk glands so that it should not impact your ability to breastfeed later. With or without implants, your breasts will change in size, shape, and elevation during pregnancy, so you may want to postpone breast augmentation if you are imminently planning to have children — otherwise it should not pose a problem.
