If you have stubborn, unwanted fat that won’t go away regardless of your commitment to a healthy diet and exercise regimen, you are not alone. For a long time, liposuction was the only option, but now there is CoolSculpting® — a non-invasive body contouring treatment.
CoolSculpting is used for larger areas of the body such as the back, hips (“love handles”) and abdomen. For smaller areas, we now offer CoolMini. CoolMini works the same way as CoolSculpting only using a smaller applicator to help reduce fat on the chin, arms, knees, and other smaller areas.
CoolMini is an excellent option for treating the chin fat that causes the dreaded “double chin.”
CoolSculpting and CoolMini do not damage the surrounding skin cells or other body tissues, there are virtually no side effects, and the results are comparable to traditional liposuction with none of the associated discomforts.

CoolSculpting is not a weight-loss solution. Rather, it is specifically intended for men and women who are otherwise healthy and at or near their target weight but, despite a balanced diet and exercise regimen, are still struggling to reduce pockets of stubborn fat.
CoolSculpting can be used on just about any area of the body. Some of the most common treatment areas include the love handles, tummy, back and thighs. It can also be combined with other treatments. Depending on your specific goals, we may suggest multiple treatments or combining CoolSculpting with other non-surgical procedures such as Thermage or Kybella® to help you achieve optimal results.
Most men and women can achieve the results they want in just 1 or 2 visits. View our online photo gallery to see before and after photos of our CoolSculpting results.

CoolSculpting uses a fat freezing technique known as cryolipolysis. CoolSculpting has been FDA-cleared for use since 2010 to help reduce stubborn fat. The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery reported that CoolSculpting is “effective, safe and easy” and that “[CoolSculpting] can produce results comparable to those of liposuction.”
Before your CoolSculpting treatment, you will have a consultation with one of our qualified specialists to discuss your aesthetic goals and create a customized treatment plan designed specifically for you.
CoolSculpting and CoolMini are simple procedures that will be performed in the safety and comfort of our office while you relax. Your provider will place a special cooling suction device and apply it to the targeted areas of your body where you want to remove stubborn fat.
For the first few minutes, you may feel some pulling from the suction and an intense cooling sensation. This is completely normal and should dissipate within 5 to 10 minutes. Many people feel comfortable enough to read, watch television and even take a nap during the treatment.
Depending on the size and number treatment areas, one session can take anywhere from 35 to 60 minutes. Immediately following your treatment, you may experience some tingling while the affected area is massaged.
Recovery & Results
Because CoolSculpting is non-invasive, there is virtually no downtime or risk involved. Individuals are generally able to return to normal activities right after their appointment. You may develop some minimal bruising, swelling, redness and/or soreness in the treated area, but these effects should improve within the next few days to weeks and should not hinder your busy lifestyle.
Once the treated fat cells are frozen, they die and are naturally processed and eliminated from the body through the lymphatic system. You may begin to see your initial results in as little as 3 weeks following your final treatment. However, full results take some time to appear — on average, about 2 to 4 months — as your body continues to flush out the fat cells.
To ensure your results are long-lasting it is important to maintain a healthy diet and exercise routine. Although fat cells have been eliminated, it is still possible for the remaining fat cells to grow.

FAQs
How much does CoolSculpting cost?
The price of CoolSculpting depends on a variety of different factors including the plastic surgeon’s experience, the facility’s geographic location, number of treatments desired and whether or not you are combining it with other procedures. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons estimates a CoolSculpting procedure to be $1,481.
How do I find the best plastic surgeon for CoolSculpting near me?
When looking for a plastic surgeon for CoolSculpting, ask about their experience with the procedure. Ask to see before and after photos of other patients so you can see what to expect.
Does CoolSculpting hurt?
Initially, you may experience a slight pinching and pulling sensation. However, the cooling action of the CoolSculpting device quickly numbs the area alleviating any discomfort.
How long is CoolSculpting recovery?
There is absolutely no downtime with CoolSculpting, and you can return to normal activities immediately after your procedure.
Am I a candidate for CoolSculpting?
CoolSculpting is a relatively safe non-invasive procedure. It is not a weight loss procedure but rather one to help reduce stubborn fat deposits. If you are within 30 pounds of your goal weight, and wish to reduce the stubborn pockets of pinchable fat than you could be a candidate for CoolSculpting.
Are there any disadvantages with CoolSculpting?
CoolSculpting is a safe procedure with little to no risks. Some people may experience irregular or rough skin after treatment. Multiple procedures are often needed to achieve optimal results. Although, results take longer to see than traditional liposuction, the lack of downtime and healing may be worth the wait if you’re only needing to address a small amount of fat.
How can I prepare for a CoolSculpting procedure?
When it comes to CoolSculpting, there really isn’t anything you need to do to prepare for the procedure. Avoid anti-inflammatories, such as aspirin, for a few days before the procedure, as this can increase the chance of bruising.
