Hair loss or thinning is often the result of dormant or inactive hair follicles. In many cases, these follicles only require stimulation to reactivate and grow hair once again. This is exciting news for men and women with certain kinds of hair loss, because it means surgical hair transplantation may not be needed.
It’s rarely the case that a single hair loss treatment will be effective to maximize hair restoration. Our hair loss professionals focus on combining several of today’s most effective therapies, which allows us to achieve a much higher rate of success and hair regrowth. We will evaluate your hair loss and determine which of these treatment combinations will work best for you.

Nasal SurgeriesPlatelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Injections
PRP injections utilize the natural growth factors found in your blood to stimulate inactive hair follicles. Platelets within the blood are what help you stop bleeding if you are cut – they are restorative cells naturally present in every drop of blood.
To begin PRP therapy, we draw your blood and process it down to a concentrate that has a very high platelet count. This concentrate of platelets is then injected directly into the scalp where hair loss is present. The injections are designed to help reactivate dormant or inactive hair follicles, thereby stimulating natural hair growth.
WHY CHOOSE US FOR
HAIR RESTORATION
An experienced team that has treated all kinds of hair loss.
Comprehensive options for your complex lifestyle.
Surgical and non-surgical approach tailored to you to limit impact on your life.
Combining prescription, cosmeceutical, LED Therapy, and medical treatment to deliver a rapid result.
Photomodulation
Photomodulation is the medical term for the use of light energy to stimulate skin cells. In the hair restoration context, this technique uses a carefully calibrated, low level red light to stimulate cellular activity specifically within the hair follicles. An LED helmet delivers precise wavelengths of light directly to the affected follicles in order to activate cell signaling molecules without causing harm.
Laboratory and clinical studies, such as this one published in Lasers in Surgery and Medicine, show this form of treatment to be safe and very effective at stimulating hair growth.
Pharmaceuticals
Two medications are approved for the treatment of hair loss. Finasteride (Propecia) works by blocking an enzyme that leads to hair loss. Minoxidil (Rogaine) is a topical or oral medication that helps to increase blood flow to the hair follicles, simulating reactivation in many cases.
We can help you understand which of these pharmaceuticals will be most likely to help you regrow hair. They can be excellent additional treatments when combined with the other options we offer.
In addition to medications, making sure your body is receiving the right nutrients is essential for optimal results. By adding nutraceuticals, or nutritional supplements, we help to ensure your body has what it needs to promote healthy and active follicles so you can achieve the results you are looking for.
Nonsurgical Hair Restoration Vs. Hair Transplant
Hair restoration products and therapies and hair transplants can both slow down hair loss and encourage hair re-growth. Nonsurgical hair restoration promotes natural hair growth with PRP therapy, photomodulation, and pharmaceuticals, such as Rogaine and Propecia. Hair transplantation is a surgical procedure that places harvested hair follicles into the balding areas. These hair follicles are taken from locations on the scalp with thicker hair.
It takes time to see results with non-invasive treatments for hair restoration because these therapies stimulate the hair follicles to grow. Hair transplant surgery offers results that are visible immediately. These options to improve hair growth are not mutually exclusive. Our doctors may recommend combining medication or PRP therapy with NeoGraft® Hair Restoration for optimal results.

Hair Restoration FAQs
How do I know if non-surgical options will work for me?
The best way to know if you’re a candidate for non-surgical hair loss treatments is to come in for a complimentary consultation. We will examine your hair loss and medical history, and provide you with a customized treatment plan.
Can surgical and non-surgical hair loss treatments be combined?
Absolutely. Many of our NeoGraft patients find that their results are even better when one or more non-surgical hair restoration options are added into their treatment plan.
What if I don’t see results from a non-surgical treatment?
It can be complicated to get a complete picture of what is causing hair loss and to determine which hair loss treatments are most likely to result in hair regrowth. The best treatment plans involve working closely with you on an ongoing basis to evaluate hair growth and discuss strategies to retain and regrow as much hair as possible.
How does hair loss differ in men and women?
Male and female hair restoration methods may vary between the sexes. Hair growth differs for men and women in the position, shape, pattern, and direction of the hair flow, and so does hair loss. Men usually experience a hairline recession, where the balding starts at their hairline and pulls backward. The hairline begins further back on the male forehead as compared to the female forehead, creating the appearance of a more prominent forehead that accentuates as the hairline recedes and takes on an “M” shape.
Women will typically experience thinning hair in their 30s to 60s that may center around the crown or vertex of their hair, where they lose a significant amount of hair volume and hair growth at the top of their scalp. The female hairline is more oval-shaped and fuller around the edges of their faces. Traction alopecia is a type of hair loss common in women after continuous pulling on the hair roots, which may happen after years of wearing a tight bun or ponytail. Female hair restoration focuses on advancing the hairline forward to reduce the appearance of a high hairline or traction alopecia.
While this does not affect hair loss, men’s hair projects straight forward, and women’s hair whorls backward in a cowlick-like pattern.
What causes hair loss?
Male pattern baldness, or androgenetic alopecia, is inherited and caused by a genetic predisposition for hair to fall out any time after puberty. A family history of hair loss is the most common cause of alopecia, but other potential causes may lead to hair loss in men and women.
Significant emotional or physical stress may trigger telogen effluvium, which sheds one-half to three-quarters of the scalp hair. Clumps or handfuls of hair may come out in the shower or when combining or running hands through the hair. Telogen effluvium is typically temporary but can turn chronic. Hair loss in an abnormal pattern can be caused by alopecia areata (bald patches on the scalp, eyebrows, eyelashes, or beard).
Other potential causes of hair loss include:
- A severe infection or high fever
- Childbirth
- Restrictive diets with insufficient protein
- Prescription medications, such as oral contraceptives, beta-blockers, calcium channel blockers, NSAIDs, some antidepressants, and retinoids
- Anemia
- Autoimmune disease
- Burns
- Infection diseases
- Hormone changes
- Compulsive habits, such as rubbing the scalp or pulling hair
- Radiation therapy
- Ovarian or adrenal gland tumors
- Hairstyles that put too much tension on hair follicles
- Scalp infections
- Excessive blow drying and shampooing of the hair
