Nothing lasts forever, and cosmetic treatments are no exception. While cosmetic procedures can help transform the way you look, they need to be repeated periodically to maintain results over the long term.
With that said, there are certain cosmetic surgeries that are not susceptible to the aging process. If you are looking for permanent results, the plastic surgeons and aestheticians at Facial Aesthetic Concepts invite you to consider one of the following procedures:
Rhinoplasty
Nose reshaping surgery is one of the most popular forms of plastic surgery in the U.S. Since the nose is primarily composed of cartilage, rhinoplasty results are largely unaffected by the aging process. When your surgeon makes your requested adjustments (e.g., flattening the bridge, redirecting the nasal tip, altering the size of the nostrils), the improvements should last indefinitely.
Kybella
While the results of most injectable treatments (Botox and dermal fillers) last for a finite amount of time, Kybella is the rare exception. This injectable uses deoxycholic acid to destroy the fat cells that congregate just beneath your chin. As your body slowly expels these treated fat cells, you should notice your double chin fade and definition restored to your jawline. Even if you put on weight in the future, that fat should be distributed to fat cells in other parts of your body rather than your chin.
Lower Eyelid Surgery
FAC’s surgeons perform two types of blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery): upper and lower. Upper eyelid surgery lifts a drooping upper eyelid but is eventually vulnerable to the aging process again after about 10 years. On the other hand, lower eyelid surgery can last a lifetime. By repositioning fat and removing loose skin, your surgeon can create smoother, bag-less undereye areas that give your face a refreshed look.
Otoplasty
Ear surgery is a cosmetic fix for ears that appear irregular or protrude further from the sides of the face than normal. Your surgeon can correct the lobes and/or remove some cartilage so that the ears rest closer to your head. These results look natural and should not change over time.
